Understanding the Golden Age Foundation’s work
The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) has served the Leisure World community for 52 years. It is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (taxIDis 23-7273105) established in 1973 to help residents. Over the years, through the support of the community, the GAF has organized and implemented many programs for free.
The GAF’s core programs include the Hospitality Center, AARP income tax preparation program,

Fun and laughter filled the room at the “Fashion and Prosecco” evening presented by Theresa Camille Metzler, founder and CEO of Trend Terrace LA and daughter of Mutual 15 resident Camille Dull. Metzler drew on her wealth of experience in the fashion industry to discuss what she calls “Closet Resurrection.”
American Legion Auxiliary
The American Legion Auxiliary will meet Monday, Sept. 15, in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 1 p.m. After a summer break (outside of making poppies weekly and Bingo) the Auxiliary is ready to get back to serving local veterans.
Working with the outstanding LW American Legion Post, the Auxiliary collected donations at the Amphitheater for Fisher House, Long Beach on Aug. 7. Fisher House provides temporary
SB Lion’s Club Produce Box Program
The Seal Beach Lion's Club will host its monthly food box program on Thursday, Sept. 25, at Clubhouse 6, from 10 a.m.-noon. For $10 cash, residents can receive a 12-pound box of seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables. All residents are eligible, re- gardless of income. GRF ID cards are required. People can also pick up a box for a friend or neighbor as long as they bring the second GRF ID card
