LW Pool Club wraps C level eight ball tournament

Once a year the LW Pool Club has an eight ball tournament for C level players. Held on Sept. 27, this year’s tournament was a doubles elimination single event. Two losses and you’re out.

Beginner chess lessons available
CHESS CLUB
The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short and long-term memory and critical thinking skills. Meeting will feature watercolor demonstration
The Leisure World Art League’s meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 4 will feature contemporary multimedia artist Ian Desberg, a professional toy and product designer living in Cliff May Rancho Estates in Long Beach. During the pandemic, Desberg challenged himself to draw and paint all 740 original, 1950s ranch homes in this unique neighborhood. The project thrives with over 600 works
