Hui O Hula
Hui O Hula offers free hula lessons on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. upstairs in Clubhouse 6; and on Thursdays at 1 p.m. in the conference room next to the Optum Health Care Center. All are welcome.
The club will hold a Ho‘ike Party on April 18 at Clubhouse 4 starting at 2 p.m. The event promises an afternoon of hula, live music and dancing. Hula dancers have been rehearsing with Barefoot Wahine musicians
Dancers & Mixers Club
The Dancers & Mixers Club will hold a dance on Tuesday, April 7, in Clubhouse 4 from 7-9. It’s a way to meet new people and get in some light exercise. Live ballroom music is provided by accordionist Linda Herman, who plays music that is optimized for dancing. Whether people know the dance steps or not it doesn’t seem to stop them. Pickleball Club: Legends of Rock
Legends of Rock returns to Clubhouse 2 on Wednesday, April 8, from 6:30-9 p.m., sponsored by the LW Pickleball Players Club. The band performs the best of classic rock, Motown and golden-era favorites from the 1950s to 1980s. Musical guest David Anthony of The Hollywood Stones David will perform guest lead vocals as well as an acoustic set during the band’s intermission.
