FLU SHOTS The Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) continues to urge people to get a flu shot. While it doesn’t protect anyone from COVID-19, it will lower susceptibility to influenza, which can help to keep immune systems healthy. Participants must be aged 60 and older, single parents or unemployed individuals or have disabilities. There are three sites open one day per week at which people may pick up two dinner meals. Hearts and Hands United in Giving (HHUG) is a small, local nonprofit dedicated to helping the homeless in the LW community. HHUG accepts donations of clean, used towels, plus new, unopened, travel-size shampoo, soap or lotion. New socks are the only clothing donation that HHUG accepts.
