Red Cross Blood Drive April 3 in HCC

The Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Friday, April 3, at the Leisure World Optum Health Care Center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Red Cross’s goal is to collect

Those who give blood regularly, help keep the U.S. blood supply stable. Although many people donate blood after disasters, blood is needed every day of the year.

There is no substitute for blood—it cannot be manufactured. Transfusions are a critical, potentially life-saving treatment for patients with traumatic injuries, cancer, blood disorders such as sickle cell disease and chronic anemia, acute blood loss, and those undergoing surgery.
