The Leisure World Cares Fund Board will meet today, Dec. 11, at 1:30 p.m. in Building 5, Conference Room B. All are welcome to attend. Below is the agenda for the meeting:

•There will be updates on applications for aid and efforts to promote awareness.

• Reports on the previous input for improvement on client assessment experiences will be solicited.

• Donor engagement progress and outreach efforts will be shared.

• An update on the recent speaker series that showcased Michael Tubbs, the pioneer for guaranteed annual income trials.

People are welcome to share ideas on spreading the word about the fund’s mission to help provide housing security to Leisure World residents. The anticipated number of applicants has not materialized to request for available aid Qualified applicants are awarded up to $200 per month for a period of 12 months, which may be renewable after annual review. Funds will be paid directly to GRF and credited to the client’s obligations. Awardees to date have expressed a sense of relief upon being approved and look forward to a bit more cushion between their fixed incomes and their expanding expenses.
