Sign ups are underway for the Joyful holiday party and lunch

JOYFUL LINE DANCE

The Joyful Line Dance Club will have a holiday party and lunch from California Pizza Kitchen on Thursday, Dec. 4, in Clubhouse 2 at 10 a.m. The lunch box includes a sandwich, salad, soup and a brownie. The cost is $12 for members (the club sponsors the remaining $10 charge for members only) and $22 for nonmembers. People can sign up with the club’s treasurer Chong Hee Kim.

The club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2. It offers dances for beginners and more experienced dancers with a brief break in between. Albert Comia leads the first hour of the class for beginners. After a break, Karen Kei continues the class with more challenging routine for intermediate and advanced dancers. This month, members are learning “To Get Better” dance.

People are welcome to stay for the duration of a class or just attend the first or second half of it. Exercise shoes are advised; no flip flops or sandals. All attendees must be members of the club. The cost is $20 per calendar year. For more information, text 562-301-5339.
