following the 28-day member review period: Key Changes: The State of California signed AB 130 into law on June 30, which included modifications to the fine process for Common Interest Developments throughout the state. The law took effect on July 1, which means CID’s such as Golden Rain need to move expeditiously to bring their rules and regulations into alignment with the law to avoid confusion among the membership, but also to ensure that GRF can issue fines consistent with the law for violations deemed to be a health or safety issue to the community.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that, Association members owning 5% or more of the separate interest in the Association may call a special vote of the members to reverse the proposed rule change by delivering a written request to the Association for said vote within the 30 days after the delivery of this notice. Not less than 35 days, nor more than 90 days after the receipt of a proper request for a special vote on the proposed rule change, the Association shall hold a vote of the members on whether to reverse the proposed rule change. As soon as possible after the close of voting, but not more than 15 days after the close of voting, the board shall provide the members with general notice of the results of the member vote on the proposed rule change.
