Joyful Line Dance welcomes dancers of all levels
The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2.
The club divides its classes into two parts with a brief break in between. This way, members can join in for an easy beginner routine, or challenge themselves with new, more advanced dances. Albert Comia leads the first hour of the class with easy-to-follow dances, from “Elvira” or “Achy Breaky Heart” to “Tennessee Waltz,” “Jo and Jo Tango,” “New York New York” and more. All the dances are done at a similar pace, but different music.
Karen Kei teaches intermediate to advanced routine sand introduces a new line dance monthly for members to practice for the next four weeks.
People are welcome to stay for the two-hour class or just attend the first or second half of it. Exercise shoes are recommended; no flip flops or sandals are allowed. Everyone who wants to attend, must register first.
The membership is $20 per calendar year.
