LW Baptist
LW Baptist Church will celebrate Christ’s bodily resurrection on resurrection Sunday, April 20, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 4.
The Bible says it is of the utmost importance that Christ died for the world’s sins, that he was buried and was raised on the third day. Christ’s resurrection shows God’s acceptance of his son’s all-atoning sacrifice for sin. As a result, the day of worship changed from the Sabbath to the first day of the week, Sunday. The resurrection also produced eyewitness accounts that are now recorded in the Bible. Christ’s resurrection produced the good news of forgiveness for sin, salvation from the wrath of God, and a home in heaven forever. The power of Christ’s resurrection life transformed people’s lives, giving them joy, assurance, fearless conviction, peace and personal power.
