LW Orchestra: Sweatin’ to the Oldies

Hadyn, Holst and mid-90s heat last week challenged Leisure World Orchestra trumpeters Bruce Vircks, Eric Holdaway and Stan Silverstein during the orchestra’s season-opening rehearsal on the Amphitheater stage. Conductor Linda DeRungs took the ensemble through the full two-hour session preparing for the group’s three concerts during its 60th anniversary season.
