KARAOKE CLUB

There will be a temporary change in venue for the Wednesday, Sept. 9, karaoke party, which will be held in Clubhouse 4 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Some work is being done in Clubhouse 1.

On Aug. 26, singers and audience members enjoyed ice cream bars on a warm summer evening as they swayed along with the music. Karaoke folks remembered Dolly Parton by singing some of her popular hits.

Shirley Dammayer and Tony Tupas both chose the unusual tune “Space Oddity.” Bob Barnum delivered a rock number that he requested be added to the club’s songbook. Pat Paternoster was a hit with his country tune, while John Guidi surprised the group with “Honeycomb.” Wayne Urban grabbed attention with “Wabash Cannonball.” The karaoke night is always a happy place with many performers patiently waiting for their chance to sing.

Karaoke practice sessions are held each Monday afternoon upstairs in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to try out a new song with some friendly and helpful folks.
