Directors elected to two-year terms
GRF BOARD
A special meeting of the GRF Board of Directors was held June 2 to count ballots for the election of GRF directors representing evennumbered Mutuals. The results of the ballot count are as follows, with the winners’ names in bold print:
• Mutual 2: Teri Nugent, 324; Mark Hughes, 287; and Karen Waller, 98.
• Mutual 4: Vicki Burdman, 147.
• Mutual 6: Steve Edrich, 193.
• Mutual 8: Michael Banfield, 103; Farouz “Fran” Ertl, 93.
• Mutual 10: Leechung “Luke” Wang, 83; Kevin Billing, 45; Carol Stern Levine, 21.
• Mutual 12: Linda Herman, 164.
• Mutual 14: Namil Shin, 145; Barry Lukoff, 56. Mutual 16, which is Leisure World’s smallest Mutual with only 60 apartments, did not have a candidate for the 2026 election. GRF Director Janet Isom, who is in her second term representing Mutual 16, declined to run. She will continue to represent her Mutual until she officially vacates her seat. Once a GRF Board seat is vacated, GRF directors can appoint a Mutual 16 resident to serve out the term. If there is no Mutual 16 candidate available, a special election open to qualified candidates from any Mutual would be called to fill the open seat.
New directors were installed at the GRF Annual Meeting on June 9.
