Leisure World residents are invited to attend a docent-guided bus trip to the Bowers Museum on Tuesday, June 23.

Participants will take part in a guided tour beginning at 11 a.m., led by museum staff, offering an in-depth look at selected galleries and exhibits. The Bowers Museum is known for its wide ranging cultural collections and rotating exhibitions.

During the visit, residents will have the opportunity to view “The American Quilt: Cloth and Commerce,” an exhibition exploring the history of American quiltmaking and its connection to industry, trade and daily life. The exhibit features more than 40 quilts and coverlets, including pieces dating back to the 18th century.

Tickets are $45 per person and include museum admission, the guided tour and round-trip bus transportation.

Transportation will be provided by chartered bus departing from the Amphitheater bus loading area. Participants should check in by 9:45 a.m., with departure scheduled for 10:15.
