Velvetones: Sunday, Aug. 16

The Velvetones Ballroom Dance Orchestra will perform Sunday, Aug. 16, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. The Velvetones perform big band swing and jazz standards, authentically recreating the style and essence of swing era band music. They pepper their repertoire with contemporary pop hits to broaden their audience. All concerts are free, but tips are accepted and appreciated.

Bus service is available to and from GRF Weekend Dances through August. To request a ride, call 562-4721367. Passengers can be picked up anywhere in Leisure World. The last shuttle will depart the clubhouse at 9:20 p.m.
