Leisure World Assembly of God meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.

Losing something causes anxiety and anguish. Whether the thing is something of value, or just an ordinary object that gets used often, much time and great effort is spent to find it. In Luke 15, Jesus tells three stories to illustrate this principle: The one sheep out of 99 that goes missing, the poor woman’s 10 coins, and the rich man’s son. The three stories demonstrate God’s love and compassion for lost souls, and his untiring efforts to recover and reconnect with those who are lost. Pastor Chuck Franco will bring his message, “Lost and Found” on Sunday, Aug. 16.

The Wednesday Bible study meets at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. It will continue in the series by Dr. Nicole Martin in the book of Jeremiah, with “Object Lessons in Judgment and Redemption,” from Jeremiah 16:1-20:18. Judgment without first having an opportunity for redemption would be a harsh burden for humans to bear. God always offers a path to reconciliation, but he cannot ignore blatant rebellion. The student interaction and guided discussion are a highlight of this study.
