LW Women’s Golf Club

The LW Women’s Golf Club played on July 21, with 40 women participating in the weekly nine hole tournament. Play for the day was low gross, low net, and fewest putts. Par for the Leisure World course for nine holes is 27. It is a fun “walk in the park” chasing a little white ball. Players may encounter a squirrel or rabbit, a duck, a goose, a red tail hawk or even a coyote. None of them rake the bunkers. All women are welcome to join.

A flight winners: Sophia Kim, 26, low gross; Ann Tran, Janice Turner and Veronica Chang, 24, low net; Sophia Kim, Ann Tran and Janice Turner, 11, putts.

B flight winners: Bert Thompson, 28, low gross; Jane Song, Chumok Forsch and Patricia Sun Woo, 24, low net; Jane Song, 10, putts.

C flight winners: Haile Yang, 29, low gross; Lynn Baidack, 12, low net; Lynn Baidack and Sally Park, 12, putts.

D flight winners: Liz Meripol, 33, low gross; Kyung Bak and Nancy Newman, 22, low net; Vivian Ceballos and Neva Senske, 15, putts.
