Bowers Museum bus trip tickets go on sale May 18

Tickets for a docent-guided bus trip to the Bowers Museum will go on sale Monday, May 18, at 8 a.m. in the Recreation Office. Tickets are $45 per person and include museum admission, a guided tour, and roundtrip bus transportation.

The trip is Tuesday, June 23, and includes a guided tour beginning at 11 a.m., led by museum staff, offering an in-depth look at selected galleries and exhibits. The Bowers Museum is known for its wide ranging cultural collections and rotating exhibitions.

During the visit, residents will have the opportunity to view “The American Quilt: Cloth and Commerce,” an exhibition exploring the history of American quilt-making and its connection to industry, trade and daily life. The exhibit features more than 40 quilts and coverlets, including pieces dating back to the 18th century.
