Leisure World Assembly of God meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
Luke 7:41-43 is the parable of two debtors, both of whose debts were cancelled. Jesus illustrates the point that one who is forgiven of a debt that is impossible to repay is more grateful than one whose debt is less.
Anyone who has personally experienced forgiveness of sin can testify to the gratitude they have for the unmerited gift of salvation through Jesus’ sacrifice. On Sunday, Sept. 27, Pastor Chuck Franco’s message will remind Christians again of the wonderful privilege of salvation.
The Wednesday Bible study meets at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. It will continue in the series by Dr. Nicole Martin in the book of Jeremiah, in Jeremiah 46:1-51:64, “The God of All Nations.” God can use whatever he chooses to bring about his purpose. Not everyone who has a part in bringing God’s will about on the earth was a holy person or even realized they were participating in God’s plan. God used evil kings and nations who denied him to accomplish the exile and eventual deliverance of his people. Students in this study can enjoy discussion and interaction as much as the teaching each week.
