American Latino Club

The LW American Latino Club invites friends and neighbors to join the club on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, to honor and celebrate the country of Bolivia.

There will be Hawaiian lunch provided by L& L Hawaiian BBQ restaurant, which includes a beverage choice of water, coffee, lemonade or tea and a dessert. People can choose between Kalua pork with cabbage-smoked flavored shredded pork slowly roasted and minced with cabbage; barbecue beef short ribs marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled; or barbecue boneless chicken grilled and marinated in barbecue sauce.

The cost for lunch is $22 for members and $25 for guests. People must submit payment and meal choice to club Treasurer Rachel Fullum by dropping it off at her unit at 1371 Oakmont Road, 150-L, Seal Beach, CA 90740, or by calling 310-869-7730. Checks should be made payable to the American Latino Club. All payments and meal choices are due no later than Monday, Oct. 5, by 3 p.m. No late orders will be accepted—no exceptions.

Because the club does not order extra meals, late comers can to bring their own lunch and pay $5 to enjoy a beverage. People should still notify Fullum if bringing their own lunch.

During the meeting, GRF Safety Manager Eloy Gomez will discuss the LW Community Emergency Response Team (known as LW CERT).

The Oct. 8 meeting is the only opportunity people will have to sign up for the club’s member-only event on Nov. 2.
