Get to the point. Less is more. A lot can be communicated in a few, well-chosen words. Pastor Chuck Franco will share a sermon titled “Go” from Luke 7:7-23 on Sunday, Aug. 9. God’s message is simple and clear. It is humans who compound and confuse things. Leisure World Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby. The Bible study is held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

Wednesday Bible study continues in the series by Dr. Nicole Martin in the book of Jeremiah, with “Jeremiah’s Complaints,” Jeremiah 7:1-10:25. This lesson shows why Jeremiah is referred to as the reluctant prophet. Even those given a special mission and mightily used are capable of questioning God’s calling and methods. The prophets of old were faithful to carry out God’s purpose, some to the point of losing their lives in the process. Are contemporary Christians called to do the same?
