Bowers Museum trip is June 23

The Recreation Department has organized a bus trip to the Bowers Museum on Tuesday, June 23. Tickets are on sale now. A docent-guided tour will begin at 11 a.m., offering an in-depth look at selected galleries and exhibits. The Bowers Museum is known for its wide ranging cultural collections and rotating exhibitions, including, “The American Quilt: Cloth and Commerce,” an exhibition exploring the history of American quilt-making and its connection to industry, trade and daily life.

Tickets are $45 per person and include museum admission, the guided tour and round-trip bus transportation. A chartered bus will depart from the Amphitheater bus hub at 10:15 a.m.; check in by 9:45.
