HARVEST FESTIVAL

The GRF Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Community Gardens.

Residents are encouraged to bring nonexpired canned and dry goods to support the OC Food Bank. Each donation earns a raffle ticket for prizes, including a 55-inch 4K television. Most-needed items include canned meat or fish, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, beans, pasta, rice and cereal.

Festival highlights include live bluegrass music, a garden-wide scavenger hunt, lawn games, and a spooky golf cart parade by the Rollin’ Thunder Golf Cart Club beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at the gardens at 10. A gardening workshop will provide hands-on tips for fall planting.

Scooter’s Food Truck will offer fair-style favorites for purchase. Parking at the gardens is limited. Residents are encouraged to use the convenient shuttle service running from the Amphitheater parking lot. On-call bus service is available by calling 562-472-1367.

This year’s Harvest Festival is proudly sponsored by SCAN, On-Site Sales, J& J Landscape, Serenity Home Care and Primary Care Associates of California.
