Learn ‘Alice’ and other line dances on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2
JOYFUL LINE DANCE
The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.noon in Clubhouse 2. The club divides its classes into two parts with a brief break in between—for beginners and more experienced dancers. Each class begins with “Achy Breaky Heart,” “Chilly Cha Cha,” “New York, New York” and others under the guidance of Albert Comia.
Karen Kei leads the second hour of the class with intermediate to advanced dances and introduces a couple of new line dances each month. This month, the club is learning “Alice.” The diverse selection of dances has been attracting new members.
Dancers are welcome to stay for the two-hour class or just attend the first or second half of it. Exercise shoes are advised; no flip flops or sandals. All attendees must be the members of the club. Membership is $20 per calendar year. For more information, text 562-301-5339.
