Tickets to ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’ go on sale Sept. 22

GRF BUS TRIP

Tickets for the GRF Recreation bus trip to see “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” at Segerstrom Hall will go on sale Monday, Sept. 22, at 8 a.m. in the Recreation Office, located on the ground floor of Building C. Tickets are $80 per person, which includes round-trip bus transportation. Seating is limited and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The trip is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, when residents will enjoy one of Broadway’s most dazzling productions.

Winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” brings Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film to life onstage in a spectacular mash-up of song, dance and visual splendor. This high-energy prodcution was directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers with choreography by Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh.

Time Out New York calls it “the jukebox musical to end all jukebox musicals. It is hard to imagine how it can be topped.” Entertainment Weekly says it is “so stuffed with songs and sheer outrageous excess that it is hard to catch a breath.”
