JOYFUL LINE DANCE

The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays from 10 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 2. The club divides its classes into two parts with a brief break in between—for beginners and more experienced dancers. Albert Comia leads the first hour of the class with an easy-tofollow routine that is welcoming to newcomers. Karen Kei leads the second hour of the class with intermediate to advanced dances and introduces one to two new line dances each month for members to learn.

People are welcome to stay for the two-hour class or just attend the first or second half of it. The club encourages those who enjoy dancing to join it. Comia said that with regular practice people can improve their line dancing skills in just a couple of months. Exercise shoes are advised; no flip flops or sandals. Everyone who wants to attend must register first. Membership is $20 per calendar year.
