Leisure World’s gate access portal, Proptia, will undergo upgrades on Monday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m.

On that day, Security staff at the gates will manually open and close the gates for the duration of the upgrade, which is expected to last several hours.

How will people get through the gates on the day of the upgrade?

On the day of the upgrade, the Proptia system will deactivate at all three gates.

This means that residents’ headlamp RFID tags will not active the gate arms. Guests’ QR code passes will not work either.

People entering the gates should have their decal, GRF ID card, or drivers’ license ready to present to Security staff. After verifying the identity of the person entering, staff will manually open the gate.

How do I access Proptia to manage my guest list?

Once the system is upgraded, residents will be able to access the Proptia portal from a new, simpler URL: portal. proptia.com.

People will still be able to access the portal through the LWSB website, www.lwsb.com, by clicking “Gate Access Portal” at the top of the homepage.

People who have saved or bookmarked the old link ( leisureworldsealbeach. access. proptia. com) should update their bookmarks with the new

link.

What if I want to call in a guest?

Some people chose not to use Proptia’s online guest management system, and find it simpler to call in their guests manually.

Those people can continue to call in their guests before, during and after the upgrade. Security staff will manage a written list of guests.

Security operates 24/7 and people can call in guests at 562594-4754.

Why is it necessary to shut down the gates on the day of the upgrade?

On Sept. 15, IT staff will conduct a “forklift migration” to a new, digital environment.

The gate system cannot be operated while the data is being migrated, so gates must be operated manually for the duration of the migration, which is expected to last several hours.

Is Proptia 2.0 any better than Proptia 1.0?

The new system features improvements and remedies to bugs that exist in the current system. Proptia is requiring all of its users to migrate their data onto Proptia 2.0.

Leisure World Seal Beach is the last client to migrate to the new system.

On Sept. 15, guests should be prepared to show a form of photo identification to the Security guards at the gates. Leisure World residents are encouraged to bring their GRF ID cards with them.
