Assembly of God
Pastor Chuck Franco will preach a sermon titled “A Great Feast” at LW Assembly of God’s worship service on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
An invitation to an extravagantly prepared wedding dinner is usually welcome. But in the case of the king in Matthew 22:1-14, who sent his servants to notify the guests that the feast was ready, the guests refused to come. They abused his kindness, mistreated and even killed some of the messengers, ignored the invitation and went on with their business. The king angrily ordered his servants to destroy the towns of the people who had refused his invitation and invite all who would come, regardless of their station in life or relationship to the king. Jesus was illustrating God’s invitation to relationship, and the open door to everyone, Jew and Gentile alike.
The Bible study will not meet on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The group usually meets on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, unless otherwise noted.
