Where We Live Club

On Thursday, Sept. 17, GRF Executive Director David Norvell will speak to the Where We Live Club from 6-7 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. People do not have to be a member to attend this meeting. All shareholders are welcome.

Norvell will reflect on his first nine months serving Leisure World, discuss the progress that has been made, share his vision for the future, and answer questions from shareholders in an informal, respectful setting.

Shareholders see the streets, clubhouses, landscaping, security, maintenance, recreation programs and the many services they use every day. When something works well, they may barely notice it. When something doesn’t, they certainly do. Behind all of that is an organization responsible for managing a large and complex community. There are budgets to manage, employees to oversee, contracts to administrate, aging infrastructure to maintain, projects to plan, emergencies to address, and the needs and expectations of thousands of shareholders to balance. Norvell will take shareholders a little further behind the scenes.

The evening will also include the annual election of Where We Live Club officers. Shareholders’ participation helps shape the future direction of the club and ensures it continues to represent the interests of engaged shareholders throughout the community.
