St. Andrews Gate will close for multiple days in early August
PROJECT NOTICE
St. Andrews Gate will be closed to both inbound and outbound traffic from Aug. 3-5 as part of a project to enhance the aesthetic of Leisure World’s entry gates. Work has already been completed at the North and Main gates.
Work at the St. Andrews Gate includes:
• Removal of AstroTurf and concrete, followed by the installation of a new planter in front of the security shack.
• Exterior painting of the gate shack, during which the inbound and outbound lanes will be closed for approximately three days.
• Installation of plants, boulders, mulch and a drip irrigation system.
Due to possibility of intermittent opening and closing of the St. Andrews Gate from Aug. 3-5, the GRF shuttle buses will not take passengers to the Seal Beach Village shopping center on the scheduled closure days.
The St. Andrews Gate will be closed from Aug. 3-5. The closure will impact Minibus service to the Dollar Tree.
Paul Kryczko Trips to the Dollar Tree will require pick-up and drop-off at Bus Shelter 14, located at the curb directly in front of the south end of the Holy Family Church on Church Place.
Directly behind the church is a gate that can be activated with a GRF member ID card. This pedestrian gate provides access to the alley behind the shopping center where passengers can walk through a short walkway that provides direct access to the banks, Dollar Tree, and Primrose restaurant.
