The second installment of Pastor Chuck Franco’s series on the Parables is titled “Wheat and Weeds.” Jesus taught big concepts with small illustrations so the lesson could be understood by everyone. In Matthew 13:2430, Jesus talks about a farmer whose carefully planted crop of wheat becomes infested with weeds, and the farmer’s wise decision regarding weed control, to illustrate how to determine those who speak truth and those who are deceivers.
The Bible study continues in the Essentials of Faith study. Pastor, teacher, and author Ben Stuart leads the class through a brief video titled “Why is it Important to Walk in Community?” Some people choose not to be part of a group of believers because they experience God alone or in nature. The Bible addresses Christians in community and explains God’s ideal model. The group discussion session, moderated by Pastor Chuck, encourages dialogue.
