AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY

The LW American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) installed its board of directors for the coming year on June 19 with Carolyn van Aalst serving a second term at a luncheon. The ALA also honored two people the Members of the Year Award. Carol Graves and Jo Rousey have worked efficiently with their gifts of hospitality for many years from providing refreshments for each meeting and setting up tables to sell patriotic jewelry, scarves and flags to raise money for charities serving veterans and their families. Past presidents Juanita Townsend and Lorna Miller-Kaplan presented the awards. Also recognized for outstanding service to Unit 327 were Denese Anderson, treasurer Cathy Boufford and Rose Marie Sprague.
