Tournament Poker Club
Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em with the Tournament Poker Club for a $5 buy-in should make plans to play on May 3 in Clubhouse 6. Regular tournaments are on the first three Saturdays of every month and start with coffee/treats and registration at 10 a.m. Cards are in the air at 10:30. There is no late seating.

Cribbage Club players earn stars
The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served each week from noon-12:15 and anyone arriving by 12:15 will be assured a place to play. Yearly dues are $5 and $1 is collected from those who play. Those finishing in the top four scores will be awarded prize money the following week. A total of seven games are played each week, and new players are welcome to come
Chess Club
The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short and long-term memory and critical thinking skills. GUYS AND GALS TOURNAMENT
An overcast morning greeted the players in the Guys and Gals Tournament on April 16. Thirty-five teams of one man and one woman with varying golfing abilities teed off starting at 7:30 a.m. at the par-54 Turtle Lake Golf Course.

The LW Women’s Golf Club held a special two-week spring tournament on April 1 and 8. The final results were: A flight winners: Linda Herman, 52, low gross; Clara Suh, 50, low net.
