Amateur Radio Club
The LW Amateur Radio Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. Ham, also known as amateur radio, Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) radios play a vital role in emergency communications. They work without relying on existing infrastructure, making them ideal in disasters like earthquakes and wildfires.

The Filipino Association of Leisure World (FALW) will host its annual veterans picnic on Saturday, July 5, at the Clubhouse 1 picnic area starting at 11:30 a.m. All veterans and guests are welcome to attend. Ralphs/Community/Contribution/ Program/will/resume/on/May/li
GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION
The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) will resume its weekly Ralphs Community Contribution Program sign up assistance on the third Wednesdays of the month from 9-11 a.m., in the Clubhouse 6 Hospitality Area, starting May 21.
The Ralphs Community Contribution Program is an easy way for Leisure World residents to raise money for the GAF, without paying more for groceries.
Learn/to/prepare/for/a/power/outage
The LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT), will hold a safety class on Friday, May 23, at 9 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The topic “Prepare for a Power Outage” will be presented by LW CERT President Catherine O’Brien and Vice President Fara Q. Macartney. Learn how to prepare now to survive during and after a disaster. LW CERT’s free monthly safety classes are 45 minutes long, and
