Shuffl eboard Club offi cers elected for the year
New officers for the Shuffleboard Club were unanimously elected May 8 and will serve in their various capacities as well as constituting the board of directors for the coming year.
The new board consists of Karen Mendon, president; Lynne Haines, first vice president; Ellie West, first vice president Sunshine; Rod Osgood, second vice president Facilities; Susan Hopewell, second vice president
LW Women’s Golf Club
May 6 brought 34 LW Women’s Golf Club players to the Leisure World golf course. Play for the day was low gross, low net and circle hole on No. 8. Three women landed their ball in the circle: Patty Littrell, Stella Yoon and Sue Sloan.

Leisure Leggers
Tom Pontac, president of the Leisure Leggers Walking Club, is “chasing 90 years” as he placed second in a Cinco de Mayo 5K race. His motto is “it’s never too late.”
Leisure Leggers Walking Club meets at Clubhouse 6 on Mondays from 8-9:30 a.m. for a leisurely walk around Leisure World with coffee and camaraderie after. For more information, contact Pontac at 562-304-0880.
