The Tournament Poker Club invites anyone who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em for a $5 buy-in to play on June 7 in Clubhouse 6. Regular tournaments are the first three Saturdays of every month and start with coffee and treats and registration at 10 a.m. Cards are in the air at 10:30. There is no late seating. Bunco is an easy and fun dice game where players try to score the most points. The Monday Night Bunco Club plays on the second and fourth Monday of each month in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 6 p.m. sharp. Chess Club plays Fridays at 1 p.m.


The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short and long-term memory and critical thinking skills. E arly on a recent Monday morning, 24 sleepy Shuffleboard Club members headed south to play their favorite sport with the Laguna Woods Shuffleboard Club. The arrangement was not competitive, with each club either playing with one another or with their own members. Introductions were made, and after some socializing the group played two games.
