The LW Pool Club recently held its second annual summer picnic. Shuffleboard Club member celebrates 95 years


Jack O’Brien was born and raised 95 years ago in Iowa. He was drafted by the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served 15 months in Korea, assigned to the Oklahoma National Guard unit. Once home, he was selected to participate in a ticker tape parade down Fifth Avenue in New York City, and returned the Oklahoma National Guard colors to the United States. Chess Club


The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short and long-term memory and critical thinking skills. Cribbage Club

Cribbage Club


The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served each week from noon to 12:15 and anyone arriving by 12:15 will be assured a place to play. One dollar is collected from each player, and those finishing in the top four scores will be awarded prize money the following week. Yearly dues are $5. New players are welcome to join in.
