FaceTime keeps sisters together and spirits high
Sisters Regina Costello of Mutual 2 and Kathy Moran of Mutual 11 recently were patients at UCI Los Alamitos at the same time but on different floors. They were able to stay connected thanks to FaceTime, a call that Moran’s daughter arranged.
The sisters were happy to see each other on their phones and their faces lit up while they had a pleasant conversation in this high-tech universe.

SENIORS FOR PEACE
Seniors For Peace will meet on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The featured speaker will be Lindsey Kirkland, education manager at Climate Generation, a nationally connected nonprofit focused on climate literacy, climate change education, youth leadership, and community engagement to accelerate action on the climate crisis.

LW CERT Class
The LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT) will hold a safety class on Friday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The topic for the class this month is titled “Twelve Ways to Get Prepared” and will teach residents how to be ready to face any emergency or disaster, LW CERT President Catherine O’Brien will teach.
