GUYS AND GALS TOURNAMENT A warm, humid morning greeted the golfers in the Guys and Gals Tournament on Sept. 17. Thirty teams of one man and one woman teed off starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Turtle Lake Golf Course. Each team competed for best net scores (gross score minus handicap), as well as four circle holes (shots within a 5-foot radius rewarded), and two closest to the pin challenges.

Sept. 16 brought 29 women of the LW Women’s Golf Club to the Turtle Lake Golf Course for the weekly tournament. Play was for low gross and net, and fewest putts. LW MEN'S GOLF LEAGUE Eight golfers of the Leisure World Men’s Golf League competed at the 4,000-yard par 62 David L. Baker Golf Course in Fountain Valley on Sept. 12. Comfortable weather and good playing conditions led to seven of the eight golfers shooting net at or under par with several very good scores.
