The Pickleball Club elected new officers at its annual meeting and barbecue. New officers include Treasurer Betsy Barnier, Secretary Jeff Burnett, President Donna Gambol and Vice President Luann Jester. The pickleball courts, located behind Clubhouse 2, are open daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. All Leisure World residents are eligible to play. Residents who wish to learn to play the game are encouraged

GUYS AND GALS TOURNAMENT A warm, humid morning greeted the golfers in the Guys and Gals Tournament on Sept. 17. Thirty teams of one man and one woman teed off starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Turtle Lake Golf Course. Each team competed for best net scores (gross score minus handicap), as well as four circle holes (shots within a 5-foot radius rewarded), and two closest to the pin challenges.

Sept. 16 brought 29 women of the LW Women’s Golf Club to the Turtle Lake Golf Course for the weekly tournament. Play was for low gross and net, and fewest putts.
