Orchid Auction in Long Beach: March 23
The South Coast Orchid Society will hold an auction and sale of donated plants, books and supplies to support its monthly programs on Monday, March 23, at the Whaley Park Community Center, 5620 E. Atherton St., Long Beach. Doors open for plant viewing at 6 p.m., the auction will begin at 6:30. Cash, check and credit card will be accepted. The event is free and open to the public.

Pepperdine University Survey
The GRF Recreation Department is co-sponsoring a new study with Pepperdine University to examine how seniors view and utilize technology to support independent living.
This is not market research. The survey is being conducted by social science researchers Dr. Doreen Shanahan and Dr. Jillian Alderman.
