Hearts and Hands United in Giving (HHUG) is a small, local nonprofit dedicated to helping the homeless in the LW community. The Hot Meals Drive Through program is available for residents of Orange County’s District 2, which includes Leisure World Seal Beach. Participants must be aged 60 and older, single parents or unemployed individuals or have disabilities. There are three sites open one day per week at which people may pick up two dinner meals. Qualified applicants must register in advance at www.ocmeals.com.

Meals on Wheels of Long Beach Inc. delivers freshly cooked meals Monday through Friday, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Deliveries include a hot dinner, cold lunch, dessert and an 8 ounce carton of 1 percent milk.
