The Leisure World Humanist Association will meet on Sunday, Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m., in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. The guest speaker will be Craig Hendricks. Hendricks has a Ph.D in history and taught for many years at Long Beach State. Hendricks is now happily retired and is writing and giving lectures.

Valentine’s day luncheon for cancer survivors
The strong men and women who are currently a cancer patient or a survivor are invited to come to LW Community Church’s free Valentines Day luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at noon in the fellowship hall at Community Church.
The luncheon will provide food, fun and smiles.
People may also invite their caregiver and the significant other who helped them through their time of need during the illness.

Dr. Yeung H. Kwon, doctor of acupuncture and oriental medicine, will be the Sunshine Club’s next speaker on Friday, Feb. 3, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.
Kwon has been practicing for over 28 years and currently practices in the Optum Health Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. His speech will be on acupuncture, cupping and herb therapy. He will introduce acupuncture
