LW Orchestra welcomes new members; strings needed


LW ORCHESTRA The Leisure World Orchestra welcomes new members. Intermediate and advanced players of string instruments, woodwinds, double reeds, trombones, horns, tuba, and percussionists are encouraged to join. PHOTO ARTS CLUB The Photo Arts Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 14, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. People should bring their iPhone/ Android and/or camera. The assignment is to photograph “worm’s eye view and bird’s eye view.” People can also bring photos of their choice to be displayed and commented on. Would-be gardeners can visit the Leisure World website, www. lwsb.com, to sign up. Find the Community tab, then choose Community Garden Waitlist and complete the online form. Community Karaoke


Fast-paced karaoke parties are held each Wednesday night in Clubhouse 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. Over 30 friends and neighbors are anxious to take the mic and sing for new audience members. A friendly group likes to practice a tune or two on Mondays in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. On Nov. 6, Joan Rosenberg sang the happy tune, “I’m into Something Good.” William Young gave a rousing “Pretty Woman.”
