Club elects new leaders; will discuss vision in January

ART LEAGUE Club elects new leaders; will discuss vision in January At the Dec. 2 LW Art League Board of Directors meeting, the club approved a reorganization of officers effective January 2025. Elected as the new vice president is Ramayana (RB) Baba and Marion Higgins as the new treasurer. Higgins will succeed Art Salazar who is retiring after many years as treasurer of the Art League.

Saturday Morning Dance Class

There are two dance classes every Saturday morning in Clubhouse 6 on the second floor. In December the classes are waltz at 9 a.m., followed by Argentine tango at 10. Each class is $7 per person. Class participants vote on new dance topics every month. Prior dance experience is not necessary and partners are not required. For more information, contact Howard Small at 516-659-3314.

Redeemer Lutheran & St. Theodore’s

The congregations of Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church meet for the communion and worship service at 13564 St. Andrews Drive at 10:30 a.m. After the service, there will be coffee, tea, cookies and snacks in the Fellowship Hall for people to enjoy. All are welcome. The congregations continue to collect donations of canned and boxed foods for the hungry.

The following amenities will be closed on New Year’s Day: LW Library, Decal Office, Clubhouses 1, 2, 3 and 4, the golf course, Aquatic Center, Fitness Center, Mission Park (including pickleball and bocce courts), Veterans Plaza, the pharmacy and the Health Care Center.
