Karaoke Club
The Karaoke Club hosts karaoke nights every Wednesday in Clubhouse 1 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. It’s a happy, cozy place to celebrate in song on a cold night. On Feb. 18, songs were sung by Essie Hicks, Frank Farmer, Lori Chamberlin, Betty Bagstad, Carol Guggino, Donald Horning and others. Several songs had folks up on their feet, dancing to the beat.

Hula ho’ike party and exhibition is April 18
Hui O Hula’s offers free hula lessons twice a week. Everyone is welcome. Class meets Tuesdays at 1 p.m., upstairs in Clubhouse 6’s Mirror Room; and Thursdays at 1 p.m., at the Medical Center conference room next to the pharmacy.

Arirang Club
The LW Arirang Club meets on Fridays upstairs in Clubhouse 6 from 1-4 p.m. The club was founded this year to provide LW residents an opportunity to experience arirang while learning to play the janggu instrument. Nearly 20 members have joined.
Playing the janggu and drum helps participants improve muscle coordination, memory and cognitive function. It promotes movement, coordination, concentration
