Next LW Men’s Golf Club tournament is Feb. 11

A hazy sun and cold weather greeted 49 players of the LW Men’s Golf Club on Jan. 28 at the Turtle Lake Golf Course. Mexican Train Dominoes

The Mexican Train Dominoes Club meets every Thursday at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 4. The object of the game is for a player to play all the tiles from his or her hand onto one or more trains emanating from a central station.

Wa-Rite celebrates 13-pound loss

Wa-Rite is a femaleonly club that meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. Women who want support on their weight-loss journey and to meet like-minded people are welcome to stop by no later than 8:45 to weigh in and complete the registration paperwork. On Jan. 16, members

The Joyful Line Dance Club meets weekly in CH 2

The Joyful Line Dance Club meets on Thursdays in Clubhouse 2 from 10 a.m.-noon. Albert Comia leads the first hour of the class with easy dances for beginners. After a short break, Karen Kei teaches more advanced dances for the rest of the class, from 11 a.m.noon. Kei introduces a new dance every month, sometimes two, depending on the members’ response. The Leisure Leggers Walking Club meets on Mondays at 8 a.m. in front of Clubhouse 6 for a leisurely walk, with coffee and camaraderie afterward. Walking is one of the best exercises to strengthen muscles and brain. For more information, call 562-304-0880 or just show up.
