The Table Tennis Club’s first membership drive was a success with close to 200 members renewing or joining the club during January. The LW Pool Club held its monthly tournament on Jan. 24. Eight ball with 12 two-person teams was played in a double elimination format. This is very different from a regular seven round tournament. The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. Keep Alzheimer’s and dementia at bay by practicing this strategy game, proven to improve short and long-term memory and critical thinking skills.
