Sunshine Club
Dr. Armin Arshi from UCI Health in Los Alamitos will speak on orthopedic joint replacements at the Sunshine Club’s meeting on Friday, March 13, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.
Arshi will explain the anatomy of the knee and hip, types of damage, and surgical and non-surgical repair options. Arshi did his surgical residency at UCLA Medical Center and his fellowship at the Rothman Orthopaedic

The Rainbow Community, along with the LGBTQ+ Center Long Beach Older Adult Program, will sponsor a St. Patrick’s Day barbecue potluck on Tuesday, March 17, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. It will be an afternoon of food, music and fun. GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION EVENTS
Over 300 federal and California state tax returns have been e-filed for Leisure World residents so far this year with the help of the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) and AARP.
The GAF has added two additional days on Thursdays, March 26, and April 9 for appointments.
IRS-certified volunteers will prepare and e-file tax returns for full-year California residents.
