The Guys and Gals golf tournament was played on a warm May 20 morning, with 29 teams of one man and one woman competing for best net scores, four circle holes, and two closest to the pin challenges. Each player hit a drive and decided on whose shot to use. Then each player alternated hitting the ball until it went into the hole. Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana hosted 12 golfers of the LW Men’s League on May 18. Overall the course was in reasonable shape, and new management has improvements underway. Willowick is a 6,000-yard very flat and long par 71 course. With no water hazards, numerous gaping sand traps, and difficult rough, scores here are always elevated. As a result there were two birdies—one each by Clay Fisher
